Consulting

I am founder and President of Politeia Consulting. I (we) aim to help internationally engaged companies to gain access to international markets, especially between Europe and Latin America. We believe that in order to be profitable is not enough to enter the market but, more important is to establish long-term presence as well as stable business relationships within the targeted market. Long-term presence is built by developing intimate knowledge of the local market as best as possible. I (we) accompany enterprises in their journey towards long and stable success.

Lecturer/Dozent/Professor
I have extensive experience in teaching at German universities for BA and MA levels, in English, German and Spanish. Thematic foci of my teaching are democratic theory, political institutions and government systems, and Latin American, European, German, and US politics.
I also have extensive experience teaching country analysis seminars. Such seminars are designed for young and experienced professionals going to live and work in those countries. The seminars are for the German Development Agency (GIZ) in Bonn and the Gustav Stresseman Institute in Bad Bevensen.
Editor
For a number of years (2012 to 2016) I was the author and editor of the German language Bolivia Portal (the link is not live anymore) at the German Development Agency’s country information portal.
Authoring
Since 2003, I have authored a blog Bolivia Today (formerly MABBlog) about Bolivia’s politics, economy and society. The site started as a selfish, but necessary, exercise to compile information, in English, on Bolivia’s political affairs and developments. At the time, back then there was not much information online about the country in English. Meanwhile, the blog has acquired a steady stream of visitors and readers, some of whom started following the blog since it started.
